IRONMAN or Fe-MALE?: Resources for All of Us 2026

Resources are the building blocks of science — and indeed of any human endeavour.

The most obvious ones of these rarely fall into place symmetrically, and other financial support can carry out research and in career manoeuvre a market participation. Representing diverse institutions, disciplines and career stages, these speakers will share their personal experiences and insights in 10-minute presentations followed by 5-minute Q&A.

This event aims to bring together scientists and those who are interested in — and invested in — scientific progress: people of all genders across a wide range of positions and life situations. Only through such diversity can discussion be truly inclusive and truly authentic.

Join us for IRONMAN or Fe-MALE?: Resources for All of Us, an engaging session dedicated to exploring resources and opportunities in the world of science and innovation. This event brings together scientists, students, policymakers and international institutions to discuss the recurring landscape for both men and women, juniors and non-juniors, in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Whether you are a scientist, student, policymaker, entrepreneur — male or female — simply curious about how we can create more inclusive and supportive environments in STEM, this event is for you.

The event is co-organised by RECAP and TeachIn.eu and will be held under the auspices of Brno City Mayor JUDr. Markéta Vaňková.

We’ll hear from Pavla Hubálková as our keynote speaker and five distinguished speakers, each offering a unique perspective on equity, balance, and belonging in research and scientific communities. Representing diverse institutions, disciplines, and career stages, these speakers will share their personal experiences and insights in 10-minute presentations followed by 5-minute Q&A.

After the presentations, a panel discussion with policy-makers follows. The discussion will be moderated by Pavla Hubálková and open to questions from the audience.

The programme will be hosted by the event’s patron, Markéta Kaiser from CEITEC BUT.
